Policies/ FAQ: FAQ

At Willow + Ash, we understand life happens and that sometimes plans don't go the way we expect. In our desire to be effective and fair to our clients, we honor the following policies.

Please give at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This gives us time to book someone else in that spot.

*Illness does not require 24 hours notice.

If you arrive late for your appointment, your session may be cut short in order to accomodate our schedule. You will be responsible for the full fee of the scheduled service.

Anyone who doesn't come for their session, for any reason, without contacting us, is considered a no-show. They will be responsible for the full fee of the service scheduled, and will be charged before booking another appointment. Please be respectful of our therapist's time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Policies/ FAQ: FAQ

How should I prepare for my first treatment?

Make sure you drink plenty of water prior to your appointment. Arriving clean, and in comfy clothes is recommended.

What should I expect from my first session?

On your first visit, we'll have a quick health history for you to fill out. With that in mind, we recommend coming just a few minutes early on your first visit. Then we'll head to the treatment room and discuss what you wrote down, any areas of concern, your history with massage, pressure preferences, questions, and concerns, etc. We'll come up with a treatment plan together and I'll leave the room so you can undress to your level of comfort and get situated on the table.

How much should I undress for my service?

The short answer is- as much as you're comfortable with! Some people take off everything, some people leave under garments on, and some even leave all their clothes on. A couple things to consider: Anything you wouldn't want to get oil or lotion on is safer if it's removed. Also, it's my policy to keep my clients covered, usually under a sheet and blanket, and only one part of the body is undraped at any given time. This is both for warmth and the comfort of myself and my clients.

Can I come in if I have a cold?

Please do not come for your service if you are sick. Even if you are 100% sure it's not COVID.

1- Massage will likely make your symptoms worse.

2- I work with a fair number of clients with depressed immune systems that are particularly susceptible to getting sick.

3- I love you all... but I don't want what you got.

If you are sick, please stay home. I'm happy to help you reschedule :-)

Can I use my insurance?

We do not bill insurance at this time. Sometimes insurance companies will reimburse you for all or a portion of your costs. We encourage our clients to contact their insurance provider for more information.

When will your rates change?

In order to stay in line with the market average, and continue to provide quality services, our rates are subject to change annually and will usually occur March, 1st of every year.
